We want to help our community be more sustainable and save natural resources along the way. Square Foot Gardening uses less space, requires no fossil fuels, uses up to 90% less water, and takes only 15 minutes a day.
We wanted to pass this revolutionary method on through small group seminars. These seminars allow people to ask individualized questions and leave ready to get started on their OWN garden the same day. We’ve always used creative ways to teach difficult topics (such as the My Garden Map handout), so the seminar is not just dry lecture.
Why have so many people tried and fail with gardening? We knew that there had to be a better way. That is when we came upon the Square Foot Gardening method, invented by engineer Mel Bartholomew. It resulted from years of trial and error in an effort to provide a sustainable, effective way of gardening that EVERYONE could master.
He finally found success when he stopped trying to farm and started focusing on gardening. He dropped the heavy tools, complicated systems, and back-breaking labor. And we did, too.

Coupled with health concerns due to processed foods and the outrageous cost of organic products, we were motivated to maximize this simple method used in over 80 countries and every state in the US.
Having always been in the training field, we wanted to go a step further and become certified by Square Foot Gardening International to teach others how to grow their own vegetables.
Our goal is to teach 5,000+ people how to grow their own gardens and help pass the skills along to others. We offer small, interactive seminars for gardeners of all levels. This is more than gardening–it is a chance to give people around the world access to healthy, organic food year round, no matter their climate, income, or skillset.
